The Caring Closet is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Hamilton City School District children in grades K-12 by providing clothing and basic necessities to those in need. Counselors identify a child in need and send the Caring Closet a request for items. Caring Closet volunteers fill a box for that child with requested items including clothing, a coat, a pair of shoes, new underwear and socks, and basic toiletries, and the counselor makes sure it gets to the child’s home. Completely community supported, last school year the Caring Closet provided 898 boxes of items to children in the Hamilton community.
